The best things didn't come from the itinerary. They came from running late, from asking a local where they'd actually eat, from a detour that nobody sanctioned. The tour package of Rajasthan gave us a structure and I'm grateful for that — without it we'd have been completely lost. But the real moments slipped in through the gaps. I think that's always how it works.
