On the occasion of World Youth Skills Day, the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was launched by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship on 15 July 2015. This scheme is very important in itself and is extremely necessary for the bright future of India. Under this programme, around 20 lakh youth were provided training, which helped young people become market-ready and supported them in getting employment. It also helped in providing skills that created better employment opportunities for them.
