Texas Notary Services are governed by state-specific regulations that are often misunderstood by many of the notaries, with the exception of a select few who are well-trained or have been practicing around the area for some time. The possession of a notary commission does not equal understanding of Texas particularities related to acknowledgments, jurats, and sworn statements.
